We are striving
towards building an international forum for independent productions from a
variety of financial sources. The guiding notion over-riding all else is the
aesthetic and content independence and originality.
We preview all
entries and many of them will be with a large public audience! We do not require that the submissions are brand new: they can be
older films that have been screened at other festivals or even if they are the
‘sins of one's youth’, we warmly welcome all entries.
What are we
looking for …?
We are looking
for narrative and fictional shorts. The development of the film idea can be
from a clearly structured plan to a highly spontaneous, inventive idea that has
come about by chance.
We encourage
all filmmakers to submit and share their entries with the festival audience. We
especially encourage those who find that their creativity does not fit easily within
the commercial, conventional and mainstream market.
High emphasis
is placed on originality of the plot and the way that the story is unfolded to
the audience. In addition to the above limit on length, both of these are crucial
factors in assessing each film. ... and that is about it!

Online entries:
In cases where you would like us to preview your film and it
is already on the World Wide Web, please send us the link to the film rather
than the complete data file. We will respond to all emails regardless of whether
the film fits our Festival or not. Please send links to:
filmfestival@film-sharing.net We assess all
films on a subjective basis. Given this, we will not respond critically or
negatively to your film but rather, in a practical sense, whether it fits the
style of our Festival Programme.

- Wir möchten ein internationales Forum sein für unabhängige Produktionen mit unterschiedlichster Finanzierung; was zählt, ist die inhaltliche und ästhetische Eigenständigkeit.
- Wir sichten alle Einreichungen ! Die Filme müssen nicht brandneu sein, auch Jugendsünden und ältere Filme die vielleicht schon auf anderen Festivals liefen, sind und willkommen.
- Die Entstehungsweise kann von sorgfältig geplanten Filmen über spontan entstandene Projekte bis zu gelungenen Übungen und originellen Zufallsprodukten reichen.
- Filmemacher, die ihre Kreativität nicht unbedingt in einen kommerziellen Rahmen pressen wollen, sind dazu aufgefordert, unser Festivalpublikum an ihren Werken teilhaben zu lassen!
Originalität der Handlung oder des Ablaufs sind ausschlaggebende Kriterien der Bewertung.
Ein paar formale Kriterien gibt es allerdings auch bei uns, die Filmlänge betreffend (siehe oben).

Online Einreichungen:
Falls Ihr uns euren Film vorher von uns erst anschauen lassen wollt und der bereits irgendwo im Internet zu sehen ist, schickt uns den Link und wir schreiben euch zurück, ob eurer Film für unser Festival in Frage kommt oder eher nicht.

Wir beurteilen rein subjektiv. Das heißt, wir werden nie schreiben, daß eurer Film schlecht ist, nur dass er sich eventuell nicht für unser Festivalprogramm eignet.
